Rehearsal information

Kanata Symphony Orchestra - a somewhat smaller group will begin rehearsing at Glen Cairn Community Centre (190 Morrena Rd.) on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm, starting September 7, 2022.

KSO Wind Ensemble - rehearsals are Friday Evenings at 7:30 at Nepean Creative Arts Centre (35 Stafford Rd.), starting September 9, 2022.

Players are asked to wear masks while entering, walking around in, and exiting rehearsal venues.

Concert protocol

The dress rehearsal will be Wednesday, Dec. 14 at Woodroffe United Church (207 Woodroffe Ave., Ottawa) at the regular rehearsal start time. We will need volunteers to move timps beforehand; please let us know if you're able to help!


The concert will be Sunday, Dec. 18 at 7:30 pm at Woodroffe United Church. There will be a pre-concert warm-up at the church, downbeat at 6:30 pm. Be prepared for a group photo sometime during the evening.


Tickets will be $20 for adults, $10 for students. Children under 12 are free. Tickets will be available online through our website as well as at the door.

Concert dress

Men: Black suit, white collared shirt, black bowtie, black socks, black formal footwear

Women: All black formal attire

Non-binary / non-gender conforming: Please use the above guidelines to best dress yourself

Membership dues

Kanata Symphony Orchestra (KSO) membership dues are $99 ($49 for students) per concert for each of three concerts in the 2022-23 season. Players are expected to pay only for concerts in which they participate.

KSO Wind Ensemble dues are $100 for the 2022-23 season, or $75 for those also paying KSO dues.

Payment by cheque is preferred although e-transfer is possible - ask for details at rehearsal. Charitable donations are accepted.
